00.1 — Quickstart· 5 min read

Your first clip, in five minutes.

This guide walks you from a fresh account to a polished vertical short posted to TikTok, Reels, or Shorts — no editing skills required.

§ 1

Create an account

Head to app.klyph.ai/auth/sign-up and sign up with email, Google, or GitHub. The free trial gives you one long-form upload (up to 90 minutes) and unlimited preview renders — no credit card.

§ 2

Add a source

Klyph accepts a pasted URL (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Zoom recordings, Google Drive) or a direct upload in MP4, MOV, MKV, or WebM up to 5 GB.

Tip
Long-form is better than short-form input.
The analyzer needs at least 2 minutes of content to find meaningful hooks. For best results, give it a full talk, podcast, or interview.
paste-a-link.sh
# or from the CLI, once you have an API key:
klyph jobs create --source "https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ" \
  --preset short-form --aspect 9:16
§ 3

Pick a preset

Presets combine a caption style, pacing profile, and aspect ratio. Start with “Creator Default” — it tunes for dense hooks, readable captions, and a 9:16 aspect ratio.

  • Creator Default — punchy, word-by-word captions
  • Podcast — two-line lower thirds, slower pacing
  • UGC — native-feeling, un-polished look
  • Talking head — centered framing, minimal captions
§ 4

Review, edit, export

Klyph returns a board of candidate clips ranked by predicted performance. Scrub, trim, swap caption styles, or regenerate. When you’re happy, push to publish.

Note
Everything is non-destructive.
Edits create a new render, the original source stays untouched. Export as MP4 or send directly to a connected destination.
§ 5

Publish

Connect TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn in Publishing. Klyph schedules, captions per-platform, and tracks performance from Analytics.
